But its only one of many lunar seas large swaths of solidified lava that appear as dark markings on the moon. Mare Serenitatis (Sea of Serenity), Mare Nubium (Sea of Clouds), Mare Nectaris (Sea of Nectar) and more dress the surface of the moon, all with almost poetic names. But the sea that
